A Commuter's Sanctuary: Finding Solace and Reflection in Local Train Journeys
While many people complain about their daily commutes on local trains, I have discovered a hidden oasis within those crowded compartments. For me, it is the only time when I can truly dream, visualize, and have deep conversations with myself, reflecting on both the good and challenging moments of life. Amidst the bustling crowd, I find solace in observing my fellow passengers and their conversations. I am intrigued by the innovative products sold by the hawkers who navigate the train, their friendly banter adding a unique charm to the experience.
As time has passed, I have become acquainted with the chai-wala kaku and the badam wala dada on the train. They recognize me by name, and our interactions have evolved into a friendly rapport. These connections add a touch of familiarity and warmth to my daily journey.
The fast-paced train ride provides the perfect opportunity for me to slow down, to ponder upon my eccentric thoughts, and to delve into my inner world. In this transient space, where strangers come and go, I am free to contemplate and reflect upon the aspects of life that might elicit laughter or surprise if shared with others.
Do you have a place where you find solace and a space for reflection, a sanctuary of your own?
